Dr Slyvia Zannis, DDS, NMD, AIAOMT, FAGD, FICOI
Dr. Zannis’s journey in dentistry began with a simple idea: “I want to help people feel better.” Inspired by her grandfather’s example of service, she pursued a B.S. in Human Biology from Michigan State University, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. A Northville native she is overjoyed to be able to spend more time in Michigan with her family.
To further her education, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate at Boston University. While practicing in the Boston area, Dr. Zannis was introduced to biological dentistry, an approach that integrates dentistry and medicine — recognizing that the mouth is a gateway to overall health. She later served as Dental Director of an integrative functional medicine clinic in New England and earned her NMD degree through ACIMD.
Dr. Zannis is SMART-certified and an active member of the IAOMT. She holds fellowships in ceramic implantology and through the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of her dedication to continuing education.
Outside the office, Dr. Zannis enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, and finding creative adventures for her son.
All the staff was extremely kind and welcoming and as a new patient it was a great atmosphere to walk into. The Dr. is very knowledgeable and listens to what you say. They cover and check everything over which I have never had done. Thrilled to have a found a Holistic dentist and I am looking forward to my next appointment!
