CEREC Same Day Crowns (even crowns on implants!)
COMPUTERS in every Operatory
Every operatory has the ability to view your x-rays, periodontal charting, photos and so much more. Our team can securely email results and findings to specialists and other health care providers. If you have dental insurance we can look up your benefits and more accurately predict what they will pay on your behalf. Claims are also submitted through secure portals, without worry that they could be lost in the mail.
Digital X-Rays and 3D CBCT
Remember when dental x-rays (radiographs) were the size of a postage stamp? It certainly was an improvement from the days of waiting to see a cavity in your mouth. Back then, the damage would be so extensive a person would often get a large filling, which would sooner or later lead into endodontic therapy (root canal treatment) and a crown. Sometimes the tooth was so compromised it would need to be extracted.
Digital x-rays are much safer and much more detailed! All our clinical team members have been trained in - and have taken the pledge to - "Image Gently". That means we colimate our equipment to use only the amount of radiation necessary to get a diagnostic quality image. Obviously, a child does not require the same dosage as a large adult - we adjust for that. We also adjust for smaller adults and even the area of the mouth that needs to be viewed. Your lower front teeth are thinner than the back molars and can often be seen better with a lesser setting.
Our digital Galileos Comfort CBCT (Cone Beam Computerized Technology) allows the doctors to see your mouth and oral environment in 3D, and uses one of the smallest amount of radiation of all CBCTs on the market. It functions to:
- View each tooth from all angles and past the root tip. Very helpful for extractions, root canals and implants. In fact, it is the standard of care when considering dental implants.
- See your airway width and tongue position so we can effectively help with breathing disorders.
- As a panoramic x-ray, and can be adjusted to remove the distortion usually associated with dental panoramics
PRF / PRP
Your own body has the ability to heal itself remarkably well. We take advantage of these same cells your body uses when you get a cut or break a bone by drawing a small amount of your own blood, and concentrating it to use the stem cells in one of two ways:
- F= Fibrin, a fiber that can be used when a tooth is extracted for bone ridge preservation
- P= Plasma, a liquid that has other specific uses in healing.
LASERS - we have 3
Two are NdYag, primarily used in periodontal treatment by our hygienists who are certified in their use. The other is a Fotona Lightwalker, used by both doctors who are also certified to use if for many of our procedures.
